WSEX.com has odds up for the Toney fight.

James Toney -300
Jameel McCline +240

Great odds on McCline. But I like Toney. Hmm.

Man, McCline is now +270 @ wsex. He's such a big guy I'm tempted. But I'm too much of a Toney fan.

Not too much activity on the board about this
one. I'm almost scared to offer an opinion as
I have been off target the last two times out.
Jameel seems to be another Micheal Grant in
some ways; a gorilla with no killer instinct.
Toney we all know is another animal all together. I think James will break the giant down over the later rounds. If they go into the deep end of the pool, I give Toney a decision win. I plan to attend this one as the little lady just loves boxing, so a wager on the right side will pay for the scalped tickets. Hopefully some
of you chaps will check in with your thoughts.

McCline will not fight on the inside with Toney in this bout. McCline will try and utilize his longer jab to neutralize Toney. If McCline can be successful at this, I feel that he can win the fight.

Toney is as tough as they come, but he is not the "stick and move" type of fighter. If McCline fights an intelligent fight, he will use a stiff effective jab all night long and not fight on the inside with Toney. In essence, McCline needs to be the fighter that sticks and moves. Those are the keys to success for McCline.

I only like McCline along with the over in that combination.

I think we all can agree that if the odds were even, we'd all pick Toney. I know I would. But there not. McCline is a big underdog, but a live one. +270 is great odds for McCline... only because he is so damn big and he SHOULD be able to control the fight - if he doesn't puss out. If he doesn't puss out, he wins.

correction: last time I checked WSEX.com McCline was at +270... he is now +220, which is still the best odds out there I think.

From Maxboxing.com

Toney vs McCline OFF, "Lights Out" For At Least 3 Months
Today James "Lights Out" Toney tore his left Achilles Tendon during a sparring session at the WildCard Boxing Club in Hollywood California. According to team Toney, they will have it operated on by the end of this week.

Toney had completed two full rounds of sparring with Amani Lee, but in the third round he took an awkward side step while slipping punches and fell to the canvas in pain. Showtime will try and keep the February 7th date open for a possible replacement for Jameel McCline.
